Dangerous bike riding

Officers have recently been made aware of a new internet trend circulating of youths riding bikes dangerously on the roads, and in particular pulling 'wheelies' whilst trying to get as close to vehicles as possible. This is of course extremely dangerous as well as worrying for drivers.

We would encourage parents to talk to their children about this and warn them of the dangers, particularly if you know your child is out and about on their bike this summer holidays.

We would also like to hear from anyone who has experienced this recently, particularly if there is any dashcam footage that would allow us to identify those involved. Please get in touch via 101 with any information or footage.
